We are saddened to share that Dede Rittman, a wonderful educator and author, has passed away unexpectedly. On Thursday, August 3, 2023, she was confirmed to be no longer with us. Her sudden departure has left her family, friends, and loved ones devastated and heartbroken, and she will be forever missed.
Who was Dede Rittman?
Dede Rittman led a diverse and accomplished career, leaving a positive impact on various fields. She held roles as a Producer and Co-host at the Total Tutor Education Network and as an Author and Inspirational/Motivational Speaker for her book, “Student Teaching: The Inside Scoop from a Master Teacher.” Dede also worked at Bob Collins Golf and served as both an English and theater teacher in the North Allegheny School District and the Penn Hills School District.
Her educational journey included studying Communication Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and she further pursued Secondary Education and English at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Dede completed her secondary education at Highlands Senior High School in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, and eventually settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her diverse background and passion for education and communication made her a valued and respected figure in her communities.
